Turkey and stating of occupational accidents occurred in the world is causing huge economic losses Mahzar Yıldırımhan, "Occupational health and safety of the subject, has led to to take place among the priorities of developed countries. According to the International Labor Organization, there are around 3 billion labor force in the world, 1.2 billion women. In other words, there are 3 billion people working in the world. Approximately 1 million occupational accidents occur every day and 2.3 million people die every year as a result of occupational accidents and diseases. In more than this number, people become incapacitated. This results in 4 percent of the total gross national product worldwide. In other words, when you calculate the world gross national product as 80 trillion dollars, approximately 3.2 trillion dollars goes to occupational accidents and diseases every year. The total cost of occupational accidents and diseases in Turkey is estimated to be 80 billion TL per year. This is well above the world average. It is also an economic loss for our country. If we can save and invest 50 billion TL out of 80 billion TL, we can predict how good the country will go. Even though these financial losses can be compensated, the lost lives cannot be compensated. For this reason, the issue of occupational health and safety is a priority that should be addressed not only at the workplace and employee level but also directly at the general level of the society and at the same time at the international level. ”

Practitioners, if they do not comply with this legislation, even if you make the most beautiful legislation in the world will not get results from it.
